As the end draws near I wish to take time to thank everyone who made Canthan new year a great success for all who took part.
DVDF have always actively taken part by supporting and sponsoring districts from the first ever Canthan New Year, what is fantastic to see is more and more Guilds/Alliances doing the same and giving back to the community. As an alliance we manged to cover every visit starting in the early hours gathering on vent at 07:30 GMT and finishing just as bleary eyed after the final visit, yes some of us survived around 26hrs before giving up and getting some sleep, over all we covered 60 Districts. There are so many names to thank in DVDF it would be impossible to list them all here but feel proud and happy how many people we helped during this event.

DVDF will be hosting multiple districts this year. We’ve managed to farm our way to 100 complete sets. As in previous years we won’t announce districts until 10-15 mins before each event. This is to stop people camping and stopping people who might not otherwise get all the rewards.
we should be starting at the first event and being there the full 24 hours. Last year we managed 72 districts so fingers crossed.

Canthan New Year is now over thanks for all who supported us
Attention all! DVDF has recently started our “dingbat” contest. This is a contest based heavily on creative, lighthearted fun! Take a skill, town, weapon, item… anything really, and illustrate it out of context! The contest has big rewards with first prize coming in as a fully paid for set of Obsidian Armor with an escort to the forgemaster as well as many other prizes. Act quickly, the contest ends June 25th.
Check out the contest in the threads hosted at Guildwars Guru or Guildwars Online. Entries can be submitted there, as well. Most importantly, though, you get to check out everyone elses and have a great laugh!
