Knowing how hard most casters have had to work lately, our martial weapon friends decided to let the majority of them take a day off. With the help of a few necros and rits, the topic of the day was physical damage… and it was in abundance. Twelve members of the alliance rallied together to march through Urgoz’s Warren. Swords, Axes, Arrows, and anything else you can think of whirled in a frenzy producing devastating amounts of carnage. Further aided by minions, pets, and summoned assassins, numbers quickly became the name of the game… and numbers we had.
Fun was had by all, and you can expect to see more antics in the future. While guildwars might be cooling down, we’re just getting warmed up.
Think you’re good? Think you can hold your own? Lets see just how good you really are when you have nothing to go off of but gut feeling. A few avid DVDF players walked out the door of the guild hall and into the southern shiverpeaks with No skill bars, No compass, No party window… nothing but chat.
As you can see, our heros utilized none of the User Interface, and played by pure skill alone. Do you know how to monitor damage? Do you know what skills are being used just by watching? Do you know how to interrupt a casting foe without even watching? Do you know exactly how far your aggro bubble extends simply by looking at the ground in front of you? All of this was common place while this team took on all three Southern Shiverpeak missions. Watching their foes, striking while the iron was hot, and felling each beast as quick as it came. Time and time again, our heros crushed the opposition, pressing on.
This is DVDF innovation at it’s best, folks. Challenging ourselves for the fun of doing it… playing the game in a new light, and all the while absolutely loving the community we’re a part of. Want to be a part of this? Then let’s see what you’ve got!
After all the time the Guild Wars has been available, build have become further and further refined, to the point where making them better almost seem futile to try, because everything has been mulled over a thousand times. On this day, we decided to take a break from all that efficiency. We did a shoutout to our secondary professions! Our heros were only allowed to use skill from their secondary professions, creating some very interesting combinations!
Spending a relaxing evening hopping from one oasis to another in the crystal desert, trying to rid the plains of the forgotten, our heros had a great time, and even slayed a big ‘ol dragon!
Congratulations, all! Keep the fun coming!
