Assassins Galore and More!

Bored and restless, a small dispatch of DVDF, accompanied by a few great friends, quickly turned into a raging battalion as a massive army of summoned creatures stormed the Fissure of Woe today. Hordes of Ebon Vanguard Assassins made it obvious to us that the vanguard is not hurting for recruitment since our heroes came to their aid. Hundreds of assassins acted as our conscripts as we strolled through the Fissure of Woe. Mursaat, Imps and Djinn also decided to tag along as well as a Golem, a few curious pets, and a bunch of Minions to add to the numbers. This epic sized ground had little use for healers and mauled everything in it’s path. It was a fantastic trip and we hope to do it again soon!

The Great DVDF Henchmen Event!

Generally Henchmen are utterly frustrating… they seem useless and they counteract everything that we work to accomplish. So I wonder, is that because their skills are horrendous? Is it because henchmen AI is simply terrible?  Or is it because they simply hate us? Well, after some short contemplation, we decided to find out. We know that we can’t solve the last issue, although it is likely the case, but we can certainly put to sleep the first two… so we conducted a little experiment to find out!! We loaded up nothing but builds a factions henchmen would have and took on Urgoz’s Warren.

After over two grueling hours we arrived at our conclusion. We decided that the skill bars the henchmen take just flat out suck. Despite our every attempt at coping with these utterly crippled builds and devising strategy to work around their blatant failings, we could not fell the beast… heck we didn’t even get to the beast! After getting all the way to room 7 and standing at the foot of the Maddened Wardens, the skills given to us by the henchmen simply wouldn’t cut it.  There wasn’t enough offense to kill the enemy healers, nor was there enough defense to hold off the impending doom while we attempted to kill said healers.

Take it from us… forget about henchmen. Find some heros, or better yet a friend to team up with, and then face the world of Guild Wars.  Henchmen aren’t worth your time.

PvE Bosses fair better than expected in Team Arenas!

Today it seemed that a select few bosses were sick and tired of constantly getting beaten up and wanted to take the fight to the people, rather than wait for the fight to come to them. Tanzit Razorstone and Undead Prince Rurik met up with Arneh the Vigorous, backed by the Priest of Menzies, and decided to try their hand in the Team Arenas. These frustrated foes mightily announced themselves before handing a beating over to the opposing team. Within seconds Priest of Menzies had died, and needed immediate attention. The group of misfit bosses managed to parade around the Arena in a dead heat, chasing the protagonists around for 8 minutes before getting thoroughly beaten to a pulp. No, they did not manage to win a single round.

Boss Battle in TA

Great work, antagonists! Maybe someday you’ll have better luck.
